Australia Test batsman an opener Phillip Hughes died in a Sydney hospital on Thursday 27th november 2014 after two days in hospital after being struck in the head by a cricket ball during a domestic first-class match by shan abbot. "It is my sad duty to inform you that a short time ago Phillip Hughes passed away," Australian team doctor Peter Brukner said in a statement. "He never regained consciousness following his injury on Tuesday."
Cricket Australia will conduct a news conference at the St Vincent's hospital in Sydney, where Hughes was being treated, at 5pm. Hughes, who played in that career total 26 tests and 25 ODI Matches for Australia Australia country, had spent a second night at the hospital in an induced coma after having emergency surgery to relieve pressure on his brain because thay injured in the bowling of Shan Abbot in the domestic cricket.
He was struck on the head by a ball of Shan Abbot at the Sydney Cricket Ground when batting for South Australia in the domestic cricket match ahead of the India Vs Australia Series 2014.
Hughes played Total 26 test matches for Australia country and they make the debut in the international match on 2009, but he was not able pick a regular spot in the starting lineup.
